ฯพณฯ ท่านกร ทัพพะรังสี ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีทำบุญอุทิศส่วนกุศล แด่คุณเปรม ปิยะสัจจะเดช และครอบครัว ณ ศูนย์ธรรมสถานเฉลิมพระเกียรติรัชกาลที่ ๙ (วัดพระราม ๙ กาญจนาภิเษก) เมื่อวันที่ 26 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2568 ที่ผ่านมา
คุณเปรม ปิยะสัจจะเดชผู้ที่อุทิศตนเพื่อชาติ ศาสน์ กษัตริย์ โดยมุ่งเน้นพัฒนาคน สังคม นโยบายและผลักดันการค้าระหว่างไทยและอินเดีย อีกทั้งเป็นแบบอย่างของการใช้ชีวิตโดยมีคุณธรรมเป็นบรรทัดฐานจนได้รับฉายาว่าคุณธรรมเคลื่อนที่ อีกทั้งเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีของความเป็นคนไทย
ด้วยความเชื่อของคุณเปรม ปิยะสัจจะเดชที่ว่า “หากเราสอนให้ลูกเป็นคนดีแล้ว ลูก ๆ เราจะอยู่ได้ต่อเมื่อประเทศชาติต้องดีด้วย” คุณเปรมจึงอุทิศตนอย่างเต็มกำลังในหลายภาคส่วน ทั้งภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และองค์กรพัฒนา โดยไม่หวังผลตอบแทนส่วนตัว ความเสียสละของท่านกลายเป็นแรงบันดาลใจแก่คนรุ่นใหม่ และเป็นแบบอย่างของผู้นำที่ขับเคลื่อนประเทศด้วยคุณธรรมและวิสัยทัศน์ คุณงามความดีของคุณเปรมนั้นมีมากมายอาทิเช่น ในสมัยที่เป็นรองประธานประชาคมเขตห้วยขวาง ได้เข้าร่วมพัฒนาแผนแม่บนรถไฟฟ้าใต้ดิน (รฟม.) อีกทั้งพัฒนาเขตห้วยขวางจนได้เป็นเขตอันดับ 1 ของ 51 เขตของกรุงเทพฯ คุณเปรมเป็นผู้ก่อตั้งและอดีตผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนนานาชาติ M.I.S.B. International School สุขุมวิท 39 เป็นโรงเรียนนานาชาติที่บรรจุหลักคุณธรรม (Moral) ในหลักสูตรการสอนและเป็นโรงเรียนแรกที่เน้นอาหารสุขภาพ (มังสวิรัติ) ให้กับนักเรียนนานาชาติทุกคน ในระดับนโยบายของประเทศคุณเปรมได้เป็นผู้จุดประกายและผลักดันนโยบาย “ครอบครัว” และ “คุณธรรม” จนเป็นวาระแห่งชาติ กว่านั้นท่านได้เป็นผู้ผลักดันการเชื่อมโยงของทุกศาสนาให้รวมตัวกันเป็นหนึ่งโดยโดยใช้หลัก “ศีล 5” ซึ่งท่านเรียกว่า “กฎ 5 ข้อ” อันเป็นบรรทัดฐานทางศีลธรรมร่วมของทุกศาสนาสู่การสร้างความเข้าใจ ความรัก และความสามัคคีของทุกศาสนาในชาติไทย และ ผลักดันประเทศไทยให้เป็นศูนย์สมาธิโลก
ในด้านต่างประเทศ คุณเปรม ให้ความสำคัญกับการค้าระหว่างประเทศไทยและอินเดีย ท่านมีบทบาทสำคัญในยุครัฐบาล พล.อ.ชวลิต ยงใจยุทธ ในช่วงที่ท่านเป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีและเป็นนายกสมาคมเศรษฐกิจและวัฒนธรรมไทย-อินเดียได้แต่งตั้งคุณเปรมเป็นประธานฝ่ายเจรจาการค้า การลงทุน และการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อผลักดันการค้าระหว่างสองประเทศ ช่วงเวลานี้เป็นช่วงเวลาที่สำคัญของประเทศไทยและเป็นจุดเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญในความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสองประเทศ ในเวลาต่อมาประเทศไทยและอินเดียได้บรรลุข้อตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างกันโดยมีรองนายกรัฐมนตรีท่านกร ทัพพะรังสีและท่านอรุณ เจตลีย์ รัฐมนตรีกระทรวงพาณิชย์อินเดียร่วมเข้าเจรจาจนบรรลุข้อตกลง นโยบายไทยอินเดียยังคงส่งต่อจากรัฐบาลหนึ่งไปสู่อีกรัฐบาลหนึ่งโดยคุณเปรมมีบทบาทสำคัญในการผลักดันจนกระทั่งได้รับตำแหน่งเป็น ประธานศูนย์ธุรกิจไทย-อินเดีย (ประจำประเทศอินเดีย) สภาหอการค้าไทย โดยให้คุณเปรมไปประจำอยู่ที่สำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้ากระทรวงพาณิชย์ในประเทศอินเดียและนำผู้ประกอบการไทยไปทำการค้าและลงทุนในประเทศอินเดีย หลังจากภารกิจเสร็จสิ้นคุณเปรมได้กลับมาประเทศไทยและจัดตั้งชมรมธุรกิจไทย-อินเดีย และ ต่อมาได้เปิดสมาคมการค้า ส่งเสริมการส่งออกและการลงทุน (กสสท. / PEITA) คุณเปรมยังคงร่วมผลักดันการค้าการลงทุนระหว่างไทยอินเดียกับท่านกร ทัพพะรังสีจนถึงวาระสุดท้ายของชีวิต
คุณเปรมได้ปฏิบัติงานอย่างมุ่งมั่นในการคุณประโยชน์เพื่อชาติและส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยและอินเดีย จนถึงวาระสุดท้ายของชีวิต และ มีผลงานโดดเด่นหลายประการ อาทิ

พิธีในวันนี้มีการตักบาตรพระภิกษุสงฆ์ 18 รูป และสามเณรจำนวน 70 รูป และสวดธรรมนิยามเพื่ออุทิศส่วนกุศลและแสดงความรำลึกถึงคุณูปการและเกียรติประวัติของของคุณเปรม ปิยะสัจจะเดช ผู้เป็นแบบอย่างของผู้ทำคุณประโยชน์แก่ชาติ ทั้งในด้านสังคม ศาสนา และเศรษฐกิจ ผู้ซึ่งได้อุทิศตนในการทำงานเพื่อชาติไทยและอินเดียอย่างต่อเนื่องและยาวนานจนถึงวาระสุดท้ายของชีวิต
His Excellency Korn Dabbaransi, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and President of Thai-India Friendship Association presided over the alms-giving ceremony and dedicated merit to the late Mr. Prem Piyasachadesh
On April 26, 2025, at The Dharma Center in Honor of King Rama IX (Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek), His Excellency KornDabbaransi presided over a solemn merit-making ceremony dedicated to the memory of Mr. Prem Piyasachadesh, a respected figure whose lifelong devotion to the nation, religion, and monarchy left a profound legacy for Thailand.
Mr. Prem Piyasachadesh was celebrated as a beacon of morality and public service. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to fostering human development, strengthening society, advancing progressive policies, and promoting international trade, particularly between Thailand and India. His tireless efforts and having moral in everything he does earned him the affectionate moniker “The Walking Bible” reflecting his deep-rooted commitment to ethical living and national service.
Driven by his heartfelt belief that “if we teach my children to be good, they can only truly thrive if the nation prospers,” Mr. Premdevoted himself fully to various sectors without seeking personal reward. His work spanned the public, private, and non-profit organization, inspiring countless individuals, especially the younger generation, to pursue leadership anchored in virtue and vision.
Among his many achievements, Mr. Prem played a pivotal role in urban development during his tenure as Deputy Chairman of the Huai Khwang District Community, where he contributed to the master planning of Bangkok’s MRT system and helped elevate HuaiKhwang District to be ranked first among Bangkok’s 51 districts. His commitment to education was equally impactful; he founded the M.I.S.B. International School on Sukhumvit 39, introducing a pioneering curriculum that emphasized moral education and health-focused vegetarian meals for all students — a first among international schools in Thailand.
In the national policy arena, Mr. Prem championed the causes of “Family” and “Morality,” successfully advocating for their elevation to national priorities. He was also instrumental in fostering interfaith unity, promoting the “Five Precepts” — principles common to all major religions — as a shared moral foundation to strengthen understanding, love, and solidarity across Thailand’s diverse faith communities. His vision extended internationally as he advocated for Thailand to become a global center for meditation.
Mr. Prem’s contributions to Thailand’s foreign relations, particularly with India, were equally distinguished. During the administration of Prime Minister General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh and President of TIECA Association, Mr. Prem as head negotiation, of trade, investment, and tourism between Thailand and India . His leadership was critical in the negotiations that laid the groundwork for the Thailand-India Free Trade Agreement, a milestone achieved through the efforts of H.E. Korn Dabbaransi and India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Arun Jaitley. Recognizing his contributions, later the Thai Chamber of Commerce appointed him Head of the Thai-India Business Council (India Office), where he worked tirelessly to forge commercial ties and support Thai businesses expanding into the Indian market. After returning to Thailand, he continued to nurture this relationship through the establishment of the Thai-India Business Club and later form Promotion Export and Investment Trade Association (PEITA) and working closely with His Excellency Korn Dabbaransi former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand to promote Thai-India business till the end of his life.
Throughout his life, Mr. Prem held numerous prestigious positions, including Deputy Chief of Staff to the Assistant Minister Committee at the Prime Minister Office Thailand, member of the Ethics, Morality, and Cultural Affairs Subcommittee of the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand, Advisory board member for the Royal Thai Police Cadet Academy, and honorary director of the Siamchon Newspaper and many more. His leadership was consistently characterized by unwavering dedication, humility, and a profound sense of national duty.
The ceremony held in his honor featured alms-giving to eighteen monks and seventy novices, along with a Dharma prayer session dedicated to transferring merit to Mr. Prem’s spirit and commemorating his invaluable contributions. It was a heartfelt tribute to a man whose entire life was devoted to the betterment of Thai society and the strengthening of international relations between Thailand and India. His legacy continues to inspire all those who seek to serve the greater good with integrity, compassion, and vision.
